Achievements and Honors

National Trust for Historic Preservation As the Director of Statewide Partnerships Wyant led a successful nation-wide program energizing and strengthening statewide nonprofit preservation organizations throughout the United States. This included development of a capacity building process for unstaffed statewides culminating in the hire of fulltime professional staff, utilizing a challenge grant from the program. During her tenure the number of staffed statewides grew from 17-36 nationwide. Furthermore, she developed and successfully tested new and more effective roles for the National Trust in collaboration with these statewides. The results helped to revitalize and restructure the preservation movement. Wyant had the lead responsibility for funding these programs.


Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois Working with a 50-member board of directors, served as the major spokesperson, administrator, and fund-raiser. Created strong partnerships in the public, private and non-profit sectors, increasing the effectiveness of the organization dramatically. Increased revenues and membership over 300%.


Williams Realty Corp. On behalf of three joint-venture partners all headquartered elsewhere, developed community support and city approvals for Rivercenter, a $350 million mixed-use development in San Antonio, Texas. Also was responsible for restoration of two landmark properties: an Art Deco train station in Tulsa and an Italianate office building in San Antonio.


Tulsa, Oklahoma Appointed by the mayor to chair the board which recommended allocation of Tulsa's CDBG funds; appointed by the mayor to chair a citizen advisory committee on revisions to the Tulsa master plan. Vice-chairman of the Sales Tax Overview Committee, which served as watchdog over city expenditure of revenues from a one-penny increase in the city sales tax.
