This included development of a capacity building process for unstaffed statewides culminating in the hire of fulltime professional staff, utilizing a challenge grant from the program. During her tenure the number of staffed statewides grew from 17-36 nationwide. Furthermore, she developed and successfully tested new and more effective roles for the National Trust in collaboration with these statewides.
