National Trust for Historic Preservation As the Director of Statewide Partnerships
Wyant led a successful nation-wide program energizing and strengthening statewide
nonprofit preservation organizations throughout the United States. This included
development of a capacity building process for unstaffed statewides culminating in the
hire of fulltime professional staff, utilizing a challenge grant from the program.
During her tenure the number of staffed statewides grew from 17-36 nationwide.
Furthermore, she developed and successfully tested new and more effective roles for
the National Trust in collaboration with these statewides. The results helped to
revitalize and restructure the preservation movement. Wyant had the lead
